Digital mixing

I suppose the utility module can do a lot of this, but I'll still post.

I read an interview with Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid some 10-15 years ago about his effects rig on the 94 album "Stain". On this album he changed his effect chain from serial to semiparalell. He used digital mixers throughout the signal chain(this was after all 1994, stuff was still in several rack modules) to mix in a dry signal to keep up dynamics and punch. This resulted in an awesome crunch distortion among other things.
I use this to a certain extent through some of my pedals that allow parallel signal chains, mostly an Ibanez SS10(chorus/distortion, amazing piece of pedal). I run it with distortion and a chorus set to a low setting, almost clean. Adding another distortion after this gives a much more dynamic but still extreme distortion.

I can see loads of cool ways to use this internally on the Coyote!
